General FAQs

Altimate Nutrition is Singapore’s first start-up dedicated to transforming insects into nourishing and sustainable food products for humans. We aim to use cricket protein to replace traditional sources of protein and to produce tasty, nutritious and sustainable food products.
Crickets are a source of protein, fiber, vitamin B12, iron and other nutrients. Compared to other forms of protein, cricket farming requires less land and water and emits fewer greenhouse gases. Choosing insect-based products is a step towards promoting sustainability.
Cricket farming requires 2000 times less water to produce the same amount of protein as high-end beef. Crickets and other insect-based proteins offer a solution to the growing demand for food while reducing the environmental impact associated with traditional livestock farming.
Eating insects, including crickets, is a common practice for over 80% of the world's population and is completely safe. At Altimate Nutrition, our crickets are grown in a controlled and certified environment, following GAP, GMP, and HACCP standards. To ensure the safety of our cricket-based food products, we subject them to multiple rounds of chemical and microbiological testing by accredited labs in Singapore.
Our crickets are ethically sourced from Thailand.
Yes! We are Thailand's first and only company so far that is certified halal by the IFRC Hong Kong for our crickets. Yes! Our crickets have been certified halal by the IFRC Hong Kong.
Crickets belong to the same family as crustaceans such as shrimp, crabs, and lobsters. If you have a shellfish allergy, you may also be allergic to crickets.
