Protein-Rich Cricket Snacks: Bridging Tradition and Modern Research

Edible insects have been a traditional food source in many cultures, yet there remains a distinct resistance to entomophagy in some societies. However, insects hold the promise of merging time-honored knowledge with modern scientific breakthroughs, offering a sustainable avenue to bolster global food security.

Embracing this concept, high school students Gavriel, Owen, and Yuen Sheng founded Altimate Nutrition. Inspired by their business studies, they delved into the science behind cricket protein and envisioned creating nutritious snack bars. After experimenting with various ingredients and recipes, they perfected a formulation that excited them. Keen to share their innovative snack, they began introducing their cricket protein bars to a wider audience.

Sustainable Protein Supplements Enhanced By Cricket Powder

Crickets are widely consumed for their nutritional benefits, environmental sustainability, and ethical sourcing from specialized cricket farms.

Why Crickets?

Crickets stand out as an exceptional protein source on our planet. By transforming these eco-friendly insects into powder and blending them with wholesome ingredients such as nuts and berries, we've created a deliciously nutritious snack. With a significant portion of the global population already adopting bug-based diets, our mission is to extend this trend even more widely. Crickets feature a comprehensive protein profile, containing all essential amino acids required for a balanced diet. Given their protein content, which can constitute as much as 70% of their volume, crickets serve as a nutritious supplement to various dishes.

20% Healthy Fats

Crickets are abundant in Omega-3 fatty acids, rivaling the levels found in top-grade salmon, renowned for its contribution to cognitive health.

No Antibiotics

Unlike traditional livestock farming, cricket cultivation avoids the need for antibiotics, thus reducing the threat of antibiotic-resistant superbugs and offering a safer food alternative.

No Diseases
